We are thrilled to announce that Khansaheb Facilities Management has received the Highly Commended Health and Safety Initiative Award at the Innovation in Facilities Management Awards 2024. This award highlights our dedication to improving health and safety practices within the industry.
In a category with fierce competition from industry leaders such as Darwish Interserve, ACCIONA, Adeeb Group, and others, Khansaheb Facilities Management stood out with our it’s initiative, “Who is the Safest Driver?”. Focused on road safety, this initiative addressed a key risk for our workforce, particularly those driving over 4.23 million kilometres annually.
In 2022, we faced 38 road traffic accidents, largely due to mobile phone distractions. In response, we equipped drivers with phone holders and created a performance matrix to monitor and reward safe driving behaviours. The initiative resulted in a 60% reduction in accidents in 2023, down to just 15 incidents.
We also recognized two standout drivers: Tayyab Waris Muhammad, who drove over 100,000 kilometres without any incidents, and Michael Cataluna, who completed over 50,000 kilometres safely.
This award is a testament to the effectiveness of our health and safety measures and the dedication of our team. We look forward to continuing our efforts in promoting a safer working environment for all.
